Veit Goalie Camps consist of 3 components:
On-Ice
Beginners and intermediate goalies will be taught a wide range of basic skating techniques, essential crease movements, essential save movements.
More advanced goalies get taught more complicated systems of crease control, rebound control, angles, positioning, puck handling, 2nd save recovery; Basically all the technical aspects of the Veit system.
Seminar
Our seminar give us a chance to talk about the mental aspect of goaltending. We will cover save selection and how that relates to game situations. We will cover mental focus and techniques that could make your game more consistent.
Dry land training
Goalie specific training methods that focus on strength, agility, and quickness with an emphasis on fun. Proper stretching will also receive a lot of attention.

Ron Veit is the top goalie consultant in Western Canada, having coached many NHL (Olaf Kolzig, Damian Rhodes, Felix Potvin, Dan Cloutier, Kirk Mclean) Junior and college players. During his time with the Tri-city Americans of the WHL, Ron coached Carey Price (Montreal Canadians) and first round draft pick Chet Pickard (Nashville Predators), who both made the world Junior team Canada respectively. Ron Veit coached Slovak Olympic team as well as 6 seasons of pro hockey in Japan with the Cranes hockey club, upon his return to Canada, Ron won the Junior A RBC Canadian championship with the Burnaby Express Hockey Team.
Let Ron and his instructors share his experience and knowledge of the Goaltending Position with you in a 1.25h Ice session at a 3-1 ratio followed by a One hour seminar geared specifically to Adult Goaltenders!
Join Ron and his instructors on ice for 1.25hrs for an adult master class and an hour seminar specific to adult goalies.

Junior Prep Camp (Major Midget, Junior B, Major Junior) Guaranteed 3:1 ratio or lower
Location: Burnaby 8 Rinks
High level camp/ designed specifically for midget aged players attending Junior camps /will have four or more Junior scouts or coaches on ice all week. Goalies will be taught the current systems used in the NHL and Junior Hockey.

For advanced/ Intermediate /beginner / these camps are divided into groups according to age and skill level. The advanced, intermediate group will work on power movement, angles development as well as advanced rebound control techniques, as well as focus on basic styles of blocking and reacting techniques.
The beginner groups will work on basic movement and positioning like T push shuffles, edge control, sculling forward and back, as well they will learn 16 save components of goaltending starting with proper butterfly technique.
1.5 hours on ice, 1hour seminar, 1 hour dry land
